Did you know – you no longer have to put your life on hold to focus on your mental health and well-being? At Peaceful Path Recovery, we have designed our intensive outpatient program (IOP) to meet you right where you are. It is our least restrictive level of care that runs in the morning and evening so that you can fulfill all your daily commitments and obligations while not losing focus on your healing and recovery. We believe recovery must fit right into your life, not against it. This is the care that uplifts you without inconveniencing you, just the way we believe it must be.
About Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?
An IOP is a step down from a partial hospitalization program (PHP) in that it offers intensive structure and care while being more flexible. It involves 3-5 hour sessions and runs for 3 days a week. It is perfect for you when you cannot put your daily commitments on hold to receive whole person and holistic care, as it can easily accommodate your entire schedule. Whether you want to receive treatment in the morning or in the evening, your care is your choice.
Despite being so flexible, IOP does not compromise on providing intensive care. It is comprehensive, condition-specific, and tailored to your needs and circumstances. You receive psychotherapy/therapy, counseling, medication management, social support, and aftercare, just like you do with a PHP.
Peaceful Path recovery’s IOP is wholesome and offers the following:
- Holistic yet personalized care
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Individual and group therapy
- Family therapy
- Coping skills, emotion regulation skills, social skills, and other life skills
- Medication management
- Psychoeducational sessions
- Peer empowerment programs
- Personalized aftercare plans

Why is Our Intensive Outpatient Program Perfect For You?
An intensive outpatient program can be just the right fit for you if:
- Your condition requires greater intensity of care than weekly outpatient therapy sessions.
- You have completed more intensive levels of treatment, like a PHP, and are referred for a step-down option.
- You are looking to transition back to independent living after residential rehabilitation.
- You are at a greater risk of relapse or have experienced relapses before.
- You are finding it difficult to function in day-to-day life.
- You can maintain stability outside a hospital setting.
- You have a safe and stable living environment you can go back to after receiving treatment.
- You can commute to and from the treatment center.
- You are willing to fully engage in the program.
Why Choose Our Intensive Outpatient Program?
The journey to better mental health and/or a sober life in itself is uplifting and empowering. So, there are many reasons why you might wish to opt for treatment. You may be willing to do so for yourself, your future, your near and dear ones, or for other reasons. The key to all this is one thing – the right level of care.
When you seek treatment and remain in treatment, you are more likely to get better and stay better. But we know that seeking treatment is not ever as simple as lifting the phone and scheduling a consultation; you may have many apprehensions that can hinder you from taking this step. You may wonder whether it is too rigid or restricting, whether you will have to put your life on hold and stay at a facility, and so on. This is where Peaceful Path Recovery’s IOP becomes just the right option, as it is an in-between option where you get intensive care in the least restrictive environment. You do not have to give up the things in your life you have gotten used to to focus on your mental health anymore.
With treatment for a few hours a day and for a few days per week, our IOP allows you to gain and practice tools and skills you need for a life that is free and full of joy.
